Download of A.C. Flora’s Oklahoma! Audio Recording
Due to copyright limitations, the link below requires a username (our school mascot—singular) and password (last name of our school principal at the time). Use all lowercase letters. If you have trouble, please feel free to contact us at this email address:
With the username/password, you can download by clicking here. Please note that the long performance requires a 126MB MP3 file. That might take 10-15-minutes to download, depending on your Internet connection.
Playing the MP3 File
You can double-click the MP3 file to play it on your computer. You can also burn the file to a data CD. Some modern CD/DVD players can play such CDs directly. To make CDs which will play on any audio CD-player, you would need the recording split into two parts, as it’s too long to fit on a single CD. If you need that, please contact us at this email address:
About the Recording
The original recording was made in stereo at high recording speed (7.5ips). However, efforts to locate the original (which had once been loaned-out) were unsuccessful. Mrs. Gatlin was kind enough to provide us with the copy that her husband had, which is monaural and recorded at slower speed (3.75ips). Of course, the result isn’t as good as the original. We think that other copies of the original were made. If you know of one, please let us know at this email address:
